8. Personal Protection Against Evil Spirits:

"Lord God, shield of the faithful, and you, benevolent guardian spirits, and watchful ancestors who stand guard against darkness, I implore your protection. Surround me with your divine light, a barrier against malevolent forces, and let the spirits ward off any evil that seeks to harm me. May the strength of my ancestors' courage fortify my spirit against fear and negativity. I ask that the Lord, the spirits, and my ancestors create an impenetrable shield around me, deflecting all negativity and safeguarding my well-being. In exchange for this protection, I offer 5 days of fasting each month, abstaining from all food and drink from sunrise to sunset, to purify my body and spirit and to demonstrate my humility and devotion. During these 5 days, I will also abstain from the consumption of cloven-hoofed animals as a symbol of my sacrifice, and I will dedicate myself to prayer three times a day, at dawn, midday, and dusk, expressing my gratitude and seeking guidance. I place my trust in your divine protection."
